I can't sign in
Tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and we'll email you a code to set a new password. Your account is created by your store, so if your email isn't recognized, ask your manager which address they used.
I'm not getting notifications
- In the app, open Profile → Notifications and check that notifications are on for this phone and that the kinds you want are switched on.
- Check that ShiftBuddy is allowed to send notifications in your phone's settings, and that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn't hiding them.
- Signing out and back in refreshes your phone's notification registration.
Check-in says I'm not at the store
Check-in uses your phone's location at that moment. Make sure location is on and allowed for ShiftBuddy, move near a window or outside for a better signal, and try again. If it still fails, tell your manager: they can check the store's location settings.
The camera won't open for my check-in selfie or task photo
Allow camera access for ShiftBuddy in your phone's settings, then try again.
My schedule, hours or pay look wrong
Your store's owner or manager sets your shifts, hours and pay details, so they're the best people to fix it. If you think ShiftBuddy itself is showing something wrong, send us a message below.
How do I request time off or ask someone to cover my shift?
Time off: Profile → Time off. Cover: open the shift and tap I can't make it. Your manager approves both, and you'll get a notification when they do.
Which phones does ShiftBuddy work on?
ShiftBuddy is available for iPhone and Android phones, and on the web at shiftbuddy.powertechapps.com.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Delete account. No longer have the app? Use our account deletion page. See what's deleted and what your store keeps in our privacy policy.
How is my data used?
We use your data only to run ShiftBuddy for your store, never for advertising, and we don't sell it. Read the full ShiftBuddy privacy policy.
